What is e-commerce? e-Commerce or eCommerce, is “electronic commerce.” Right, tell me something I don't know.
Simply stated, It’s buying and selling products, services and other important stuff over the Internet. e-Commerce covers a vast range of businesses, both conventional and unconventional. These can range from stores selling specific products, such as Baby Stores or Camping Stores, to Auction Houses, which list and sell everything and not forgetting the most important e-Commerce application, the downloading of music and movies (after a fee has been paid).
How amazing is it. You can go online, at any time of the day or night, buy a shirt or a book, and have it delivered to your house within the next day or two. All this and you never left the comfort and safety of your house. This advancement in e-Commerce has allowed the smaller businesses to compete against the multi nationals, in a more cost effective and efficient manner. The growth of e-Commerce has been immense over the last few years and this trend is expected to continue and expand accordingly.
